The 2019 Woodwind & Brass Section will run from Sunday 17th to Tuesday 19th November inclusive.

ALL CLASSES ARE OPEN TO COMPETITORS FROM ANY DISTRICT
RECORDED ACCOMPANIMENTS are NOT PERMITTED in this Section
COPIES OF OWN CHOICE must be provided for the Adjudicator (failure to do so may result in a loss of marks). The Music Publishers Association has recently issued a revised code of practice on copying copyright works:
“When an Own Choice work is selected from a publication containing several different works and which is not published separately, one copy may be made for the use of an adjudicator at a competition or festival provided that the competitor or participant has already purchased his/her own copy and that the copy made is retained and destroyed immediately after the event. The accompanist should always be given a printed copy.”

Any one piece from the examination syllabus of Associated Board or Trinity/Guildhall from 2000 onwards. Competitors must not have passed any grade higher than the one from which the choice is made and must not play the piece in any other class in the Recorder section.
